The section I worked on for the STARS assessment was the campus engagement section. For this section we used a lot of information form UNE’s website because it has a lot of information about the different programs, clubs and initiatives use offers. Alethea was very helpful in guiding us to were the information about sustainability initiatives on the website was.
I think an ah-ha moment for the project was that the project opened my eyes up to what UNE is doing. A lot of the initiatives such as some of the edible campus initiatives I did not know were in place. I feel that UNE is a growing a lot at the moment, from when I came into the University to now I feel that the atmosphere has changed from a student perspective. Knowing that there are students and faculty invested in ensuring that UNE grows to be a more sustainable campus is something I value in the community at UNE.
